Loxasperse® Is Available at Independent Pharmacies Worldwide
Interested in Having Available At Your Pharmacy?

Loxasperse® (“LX”) is a bulk-chemical base available exclusively from pharmacies that are licensees of Kingdom Licensing OR are PCCA members. You do not have to be a PCCA-Member to obtain LX – you can simply be a licensee of Kingdom Licensing.

LX contains Xylitol NF, Poloxamer 407 USP, and Poloxamer 188 USP. The Xylitol component of LX, in general terms, is the reason that advertising for chewing gums containing Xylitol say chewing the gum helps to kill gingivitis (bacteria).

Typical Uses

  • In a compounded gel with BASSA-GEL™
  • As a stand-alone excipient powder within a compounded capsule
  • As a stand-alone excipient powder, such as a 30gram container, that could be used topically to an external area
  • In a compounded capsule with active pharmaceutical ingredients (drugs)

Improving Drug Delivery

  • Poloxamers in LX reduce particle size and increase the solubility and dispersibility of accompanying drugs

More Convenient and Simplified Process

  • LX, in dry-powder capsules, are more convenient and portable than liquid solutions.
  • It’s ideal for multi-drug therapy because it’s dispensed as a powder, which reduces the risk of drug compatibility and storage/stability concerns that come with water-containing compounded medications.
  • The powder/capsule preparation provides a longer beyond-use date than compounded medications using a water-containing base and requires neither refrigeration nor preservatives.

Additional Benefits

  • May have synergistic activity with common antimicrobial agents
  • May increase activity against biofilms
